Meg Becker

I found yoga on TV as a child in 1974, I fell in love with it and have spent my adult life studying the postures and techniques of yoga. I have enjoyed teaching everyone from children to adults, one on one to large groups, in many different stages of life, from the beginning of life to the end of life. I have found the postures help people free their body’s tight spots and the techniques help free the mind of unwanted thoughts and actions. I have noticed these tools allow people to open to and join in their own life in a more peaceful authentic way. I started my 5 year Integrative Yoga Therapy Training in 2002 with Joseph LaPage. Here I focused on the history of yoga, Ayurvedic medicine, meditation & mindfulness, postures and deeply studied how yoga can be used as a tool to link the conscious and subconscious mind. This schooling taught me a lot about myself, helped me develop many skills including a sense of compassion which has given me the foundation to work with others no matter where they are on life’s journey. We all have a unique journey, filled with ups and downs, at times good health or poor health. I know yoga has helped me to stay calm, focused and be kind. I loved it when the Dali Lama said “we can always be more kind”. Honestly, I can’t imagine living without yoga! It’s my foundation and my rock that keeps me living the life I want. My family is very important to me, my relationships with my husband, two grown children, friends and community are invaluable. I love teaching and sharing yoga so I am honored to work with this team.
